Why Choose Profilgate Series I
The clean zones of the i-aqua series are designed for wet cleaning and disinfection of tires, rollers, wheels and shoe soles. As in the names of other ProfilGate series, the”i” is an abbreviation for “Inox steel”. The material is rustproof and therefore ideal for areas with high hygiene requirements, such as those in the food industry.
The stainless steel trays of the i-aqua series feature both a supply inlet and a drainage outlet. This design enables the controlled flow of water and disinfectant while allowing wastewater to be efficiently drained. As a vehicle, trolley or person move over a profilgate, the capillary actin of the bristles ensures the disinfectant reaches the treads. This mechanism effectively prevents the spread of germs into high-care areas, supporting the implementation of hygiene protocols.
We recommend our dosing station with the profilgate Aqua. It fills the disinfection basin either manually or automatically to ensure constant, optimum disinfection performance.

Dirt Trap Tray in Two Heights
In order to disinfect tires, rollers and soles in addition to physical cleaning, water and an appropriate disinfectant are filled into the dirt collection tray on this model.
Depending on the use, you can choose between two heights:
- 55mm: This version opens up a whole world of possibilities. The system can be used btoh we for cleaning and disinfection, and dry for cleaning and collecting dirt. If you want the option to switch between the two types, or if you initially plan to use the machine dry but also want to be able to use wet cleaning in the future, the 55mm deep tray is the right choice. A 10mm deep dirt reservoir beneath the brush strips collects and retains the cleaned-off dirt.
- 45mm: This flat version is used when the system must be operated wet. There’s no dirt reservoir under the brush strips, as the cleaned dirt float in the liquid anyway and doesn’t settle on the tank floor.
Accordingly, unlike the 55cm tub, it doesn’t offer the option of dry use, but the tub’s capacity is also smaller, as it is 10mm shallower. This saves money because less disinfectant is needed per fill.
Determining the Correct Cleaning Field Length
Based on evaluations by the Franhofer IPA Institute and IBELIN Laboratory, we know exactly at what length our clean-off zones achieve their optimal cleaning effect. To get a rough estimate, you cna use the following rules of thumb for planning:
- Transport Vehicles: At least three tire revolutions are sufficient to remove 80% of the dirt. This means the cleaning area should be at least three to four times the tread of the largest tire circumference to be cleaned.
- Shoe soles: To clean shoe soles, each foot with a normal stride length should have at least four to six contacts with the cleaning field. Of course, the on-site conditions play a crucial role in the precise planning. These include the type of vehicle and dirt, dry or wet cleaning, and much more. The Modular System
The ProfilGate clean-off zone modules are available in two standard widths, which can be combined individually (see drawing). This means we can adapt them optimally to the requirements of your production and logistics halls.
You give us the dimensions of the entrances and transitions in which you would like to use our clean-walking zones and we will put together the right modules to fit you perfectly.
Of course, we are also happy to personally advise you on site and take the measurement ourselves.
